Tokyo

The capital city of Japan, Tokyo is steeped in rich history. While retaining many of the traditions that Japan is known for, Tokyo has also become a contemporary city filled with modern skyscrapers, bright lights, and a reputation for being a hub of technology and nightlife alike.

From shrines and temples to trendy boutiques and gadget shopping in the Akihabara district, Tokyo stands out as a city that has successfully stepped into the world of today while managing to retain the quaint history that first made the city famous. Visit the Imperial Palace, one of the dozens of museums, including art and history museums, and pay a visit to the Tsukiji Fish Market, or hit a karaoke bar for a night of belting out your favorite tunes.

A private cruise up the Sumida River will take you to any number of famous sites, including the Hamarikyu Japanese Gardens. Cruise the river at night during the Cherry Blossom Festival to see thousands of lanterns lighting the way.

Vibrant, modern, and trendy, Tokyo offers impressive shopping complexes and world-class hotels along with the traditional touches that set Japan apart.

Kyoto

Take part in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony or experience Kyoto-styled cooking classes.

Take in more of the city and surrounding sites with a private tour around Kyoto, or enjoy a cycling tour through the city to take it in at your own pace. Visit the hot springs for a therapeutic soak, or take the Torokko train ride and a ride on the meandering rapids of the Hozu-gawa River.

Enjoy a private dinner from a riverside terrace, while discovering traditional Japanese culinary delights, and green tea or sake. From sushi to sukiyaki, and noodles to tempura, there is so much to explore once you delve into Japanese cuisine.

Kyoto has retained many of the traditions held so dear by the Japanese, while still stepping forward to embrace all of the modern conveniences technology brings with it.
